November 2, 2005.A teenager was killed in a crash that injured five passengers late Tuesday night in Lindenwood, the police said. John Palmiotto, 16, was killed after the 2005 Nissan Altima he was driving struck two parked cars and a tree and flipped onto its side in front of 80-19 155th Avenue, the police said. The accident occurred about 10:40 p.m., the police said. Mr. Palmiotto, of Lynbrook, was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Five passengers were taken to hospitals, where they were in serious but stable condition yesterday, the police said Witnesses say the car driven by John Palmiotto appeared to be going 100 miles an hour when it blew through a stop sign.
It jumped the curb and flew fifty feet in the air hitting a camper and a tree before landing in a driveway. Friends say Palmiotto did not have a license, just a permit
